Treehouse Safari in Botswana, above the Boteti riverbed

The room

The treehouse is built from timber and canvas into the crown of an old acacia and reached by a wooden staircase. The front of the room opens onto your own viewing deck and the riverbed.

Inside there is a 2 × 2 m bed with a mosquito net, a small sitting area and windows on all sides. The treehouse has power outlets and Starlink WiFi, so you can charge cameras and phones and stay in touch.

Your private viewing deck

Naledi Camp sits on the high bank of the Boteti, about 20 m above the riverbed. From the treehouse deck you look straight down onto the river. In the dry season from April to October the animals concentrate at the Boteti, and with luck you see elephants, hippos and kudu at the water from your chair.

With a maximum of 8 guests in camp, the deck is yours alone. Sundowners can be served up here, and early morning is the best time to watch the river before breakfast.

Bathroom with a view of the river

The treehouse has its own ensuite bathroom with a shower, a few steps from the bed. From the shower you look down onto the Boteti riverbed, and with some luck you can watch elephants at the water while you shower.

Days at Naledi Camp

Full board is included: breakfast, lunch and a three-course dinner in the open-air boma, freshly prepared by our chef, with water, tea, coffee and soft drinks at meals. Herbs, salads and vegetables come from the camp’s own garden. Drinks from the bar are charged separately.

Between meals there is the dip pool at the edge of the riverbed, the fire pit and the activities: a guided safari with KT in your own vehicle, a mokoro trip on the Boteti when the water level allows, or a full-day game drive in the camp vehicle on request.

Booking the treehouse

There is only one treehouse at Naledi Camp, so we recommend booking early for the dry season. It sleeps two guests; families of three stay in one of the three safari tents, where an extra bed can be added.

Check-in is from 15:00, check-out until 10:00. Even on a one-night stay, lunch on arrival, dinner and breakfast are included. A 20% deposit secures your dates and the balance is due 14 days before arrival. Cancellation is free until 60 days before arrival. If you pay the full amount in advance by bank transfer, you receive an additional discount on accommodation; this prepayment is non-refundable.
